About Me

Family:

I am the middle child in a family with three boys, growing up in Lanesboro, MN. My family still spends holidays together, and we spend a lot of time around campfires in the summer. We also have a Golden Retriever named Charlie, as well as a few farm animals.

Favorites:

I love to read and one of my favorite authors is J.R.R. Tolkien. Like many, my favorite Tolkien series is Lord of the Rings. I love this series because it tells the story of many different backgrounds and demonstrates that anyone can help change the course of history – just like we can all help change our own world if we put our minds to it.

Hobbies:

I am an avid mountain biker, so when the sun is shining you can find me hitting one of the many trails that Decorah has to offer. This is one of my favorite outdoor activities, and I have even had a few opportunities to travel and mountain bike on trails across the US.

Superpower:

I remain calm in stressful situations.

Can't live without:

My bike. Being able to go outdoors and hit the trails is my favorite way to relax and have some fun, plus it keeps me in shape!

Fun Fact:

In college I was a member of the track and field team, where I competed as a pole vaulter. My senior year I was elected as a team leader, and now I serve as the Pole Vault Coach for my alma mater, Luther College Track and Field.
